Our celebration of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’s 20th Anniversary comes to a close with the release of the YouTube video I teased in my last blog post!

This is my very first video project, and it’s something I’ve wanted to make for over a year now. As I mention at the end of the video, my original plan was to cover the entirety of the franchise’s popularity in one video, but as I researched and began writing that script, I realized quickly it would be far too massive for one video. And with the 20th anniversary of Dead Man’s Chest this year, I decided to change the video to focus specifically on the year of 2006.

That year was incredible for Pirates of the Caribbean, as it birthed so many things that we all love! The Jack Sparrow book series, the Swashbucklers art-style, the Zizzle toys, and so much more! Pirates of the Caribbean dominated that year, both at the box office and in pop culture as well. It was incredibly nostalgic going back and researching all of this, and I hope it’s nostalgic for you all when you watch!
